Utility Projects Tampa Electric Company Silver Dollar Substation, Hillsborough County, Florida. Earth Resources is responsible for delineating the wetland boundaries and obtaining agency approval, preparing the environmental permit applications, coordinating with the regulatory agencies and designing wetland mitigation. Earth Resources also prepared a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment in accordance with ASTM standards. Trout Creek Substation, Pasco County, Florida This project consists of a new power substation in New Tampa area along Trout Creek. Earth Resources delineated the wetland boundaries in accordance with the State of Florida Wetland Delineation Methodology and obtained agency approval. Lake Hutto Substation Hillsborough County, Florida. Earth Resources prepared a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment in accordance with ASTM standards for this proposed 10-acre TECo substation site in southern Hillsborough County. S.R. 52 Water Transmission Main, Pasco County, Florida This project involves the construction of 17 miles of new potable and reclaimed water transmission mains in Pasco County. Earth Resources is currently conducting an environmental analysis of the proposed transmission main routes. The routes are being analyzed using ArcGIS data and potential environmental impacts quantified. The results will be presented in a Route Analysis Report. Phase II of the project involves the design and permitting of the preferred alternative route. Earth Resources will be conducting the wetland delineations and obtaining agency approval, permitting, mitigation design, UMAM analysis, wildlife surveys and protected species permitting. Northwest Regional Water Reclamation Facility Expansion, Hillsborough County, Florida This on-going project consists of the expansion of an existing water treatment facility for Hillsborough County. Tasks include coordination with the Hillsborough County Environmental Protection Commission and the Southwest Florida Water Management District, environmental permitting, UMAM analysis, wildlife surveys. U.S. 41 Water Transmission Main, Pasco County, Florida. This new water main project consists of approximately 16,000 linear feet of water transmission main along the U.S. 41 corridor connecting at the south end to the Tampa Bay Water U.S. 41 Booster Pumping Station and ending at the north end at Connerton Boulevard (or proposed Ridge Road). Tasks include preparation of a route analyses report to determine involvement of wetlands and other sensitive habitats, wetland delineation, UMAM, environmental permitting/agency coordination and wildlife surveys. Transportation Projects Bruce B. Downs, Hillsborough County, Florida. This on-going project involves the widening of 5.6 miles of urban roadway. The project is divided into three segments with three design consultants. As the lead environmental consultant for Hillsborough County, Earth Resources, Inc. is the primary point of contact for the regulatory agencies and coordinating the environmental permitting with the other consultants. Old Kings Road This on-going project involves the widening of 6 miles of roadway from two to four lanes for the City of Palm Coast. Approximately 2 miles of the project is new alignment. Roosevelt Boulevard, Pinellas County, Florida. This project involves the approximately 2 miles of roadway improvements in front of the St. Petersburg Airport. Tasks conducting environmental assessment of the proposed pond sites to determine suitability, wetland delineations, and environmental permitting. Gornto Lake Road PD&E This on-gong project involves conducting a PD&E study for approximately 0.33 miles of a new road alignment. Ecosystem Restoration Projects Spirit of the Wild Wildlife Management Area Hydrologic Restoration, Hendry County, Florida. The Spirit of the Wild Wildlife Management Area totals approximately 7,487 acres and consists of improved pasture areas with wetland and slough systems interspersed throughout. Earth Resources is responsible for assisting in the design of the hydrologic restoration plan. Dinner Island Ranch Wildlife Management Area, Hendry County, Florida. The Dinner Island Ranch Wildlife Management Area totals approximately 22,670 acres. The hydrologic restoration plan encompasses 4,263 acres consisting 2000 acres of improved pasture areas and an adjacent 2,000 acre fallow sugar cane field. Earth Resources is responsible for assisting in the design of the hydrologic restoration plan. Park Projects Tampa Riverwalk, Hillsborough County, Florida The City of Tampa is the Tampa Riverwalk, a continuous pedestrian walkway extending from the Channelside area to Tampa Heights along the east side of the Hillsborough River. It will incorporate pedestrian amenities, art and interpretive elements, retail and restaurant uses, parks and open space, and other urban amenities. Earth Resources scientists are responsible for monitoring the Hillsborough River for manatee activity during construction to prevent injury of this endangered species. Fred Howard Park Howard Bridge Replacement, Pinellas County, Florida. This project consists of replacing the existing bridges along the parkšs access causeway within St. Joseph Sound. Tasks include environmental permitting, preparation of a manatee protection plan, coordination with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and sovereign and submerged lands permitting. Urban Forest Park, City of Plant City, Florida This is a proposed 60-acre passive use park located in Plant City. The project will conist of hiking trails with interpretative signage. Earth Resources is delineating the wetland limits and preparing a Formal Wetland Jurisdictional Determination application to obtain approval of the wetland limits from the Southwest Florida Water Management District. Other Projects City of Plant City Wetland and Environmental Permitting Training Earth Resources conducted a training seminar for City of Plant City Public Works employees to teach the staff field identification of wetland habitats and provide an over view of the regulatory framework protecting wetlands including the Statešs Environmental Resource Permit and Hillsborough County Environmental Protection Commissionšs permitting processes. The training session included a classroom session as well as a field exercise. |
